Loqui is an AAC application designed so that people with autism and nonverbal abilities can easily communicate with the world around them. The lack of autonomy of this group, due to the lack of efficient tools designed for their difficulties, affects not only the autistic person themselves, but also their family members who are frustrated because they cannot understand them.

The purpose is to make the daily lives of these people easier and give a voice to autistic people who, like everyone else, have the right to transmit information and ideas without limitations of borders. The product's differential is that it is fully customizable, intuitive and allows exchange between users, through the sharing of communication tables, where it is possible to explore other people's tables and adapt them to their reality.

This project was developed in the Social Innovation discipline and in 2022 it was awarded second place in the Positive Impact Design category at the Brasil Design Award, as well as in the Service & Strategic Design category at the Bornancini Award.

Currently, there are more than two million people with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Brazil, 40% of whom are non-verbal, and the availability of easily accessible products for this group is extremely scarce. Loqui was created to democratize this access, generating more autonomy for the autistic group and connecting people who experience the same reality, strengthening the sense of community among them, considering that the products available today are of high monetary value and restricted in terms of adaptation.

Loqui is the result of extensive research with people who live with autistic people on a daily basis, such as parents and caregivers, where several points of attention stood out, such as: the lack of autonomy of this group and the lack of an efficient and accessible digital version of communication tables.

This research reflected in the result of the product's main differentials, such as: fully customizable digital tables that have a library with thousands of images, also having the option to draw and take a photo of the object, voice recording, opportunity to access the entire autistic support network in a single account, accessible with a free and paid version and that allows sharing of tables between users, through an intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interface.
